How To Feel Abundant When You’re Broke

December 25, 2016December 11, 2018 Editor Comments Off on How To Feel Abundant When You’re Broke

In our overly materialistic culture, we tend to believe that the more we have, the more important we are. If we have shiny cars, we’re rich. If we have well-to-do friends, we’re popular. If we have the biggest house with the nicest landscape, we’re respected.

As nice as all of this may seem, none of it actually equals abundance. Abundance is when we are happy with what we have; not when we’re unhappy with what we have and want more.

Sometimes we have moments in our lives when it seems like we’re broke. Our pockets are empty and our bank account is collecting dust. The greatest secret to feeling abundant and prosperous is to practice abundance and appreciate what’s already around you. Here are a few tips to help you feel abundant when you’re broke:

1) Walk the Walk

Want to feel like you have it all? Dress the part and walk the walk. Put on your best duds and hit the mall. Walk with confidence and smile as you go.

Step into high-end stores and browse, all the while thinking, “I’m going to buy you because I have wealth and abundance beyond measure.”

2) Show Gratitude for What You Already Have

There are millions of people in the world that don’t have what you have. If you have a car, even if it’s rusty, be grateful for it. If you have quarters to do a load of laundry, be grateful for it. If you have a roof over your head, even if the rent is late, be grateful for it. The Universe responds to gratitude and will bring you more of what you’re grateful for.

3) Share Something With Someone

The last thing you think you should do to break the feeling of having nothing is to give something away. But the truth is, when you offer something to somebody who has less than you do, you fill your heart with the true meaning of being human. You understand that life isn’t just about you, but about all of us working together. Giving someone something, despite your financial situation, can actually help you appreciate what you already have and what is yet to come.

4) Tell A New Story

Finally, tell yourself a new story. Stop saying you’re broke. You’re sending the Universe the wrong message. Instead, say something like, “Money comes easily and frequently.” Say it often. And thank God and the Universe (or whatever it is that you believe in) for sending goodness your way. You will be amazed at how quickly things turn around for you.

Abundance isn’t just about money. It’s about love and success and appreciation. When you can learn to appreciate what you have and trust that more good things are on the way, love and success will follow and life will begin to flourish.
